Application for Admission 2026-2027  

  Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme  

 

1. Application Form:

Forms are available at the school office as well as online at https://www.smartkidskg.edu.hk
(Distribute/collect application forms, no quota.)

 

2. Submission of Application:

Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday – 9:00am to 12:00noon

 

3. Application Procedures:
Submit in person the duly completed application form with the following documents:

(a) a copy of the child’s birth certificate
(b) if the child is a non-resident of Hong Kong, a copy of his/her travel document: passport, or Exit/Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau (including a copy of the entry stamp) is also required.
(c) a copy of the immunization record
(d) one recent passport-size photograph (Attach the applicant’s photo to the application form)

 

4. Application fee:

HK$40. The application fee is non-refundable.

 

5. Interview day:

1 November, 2025 (Saturday)

 

6. Interview arrangements:
Parents will accompany their children in small group activities. Teacher will observe the children’s performance, behaviour and emotional responses. All applicants will be given an interview opportunity. Translation will be arranged for the Non-Chinese speaking families.

 

7. Release of results:

Candidates will be informed individually by phone before 1 December, 2025 (Monday). 

 

8. Centralised Registration Dates:
8 to 9 January, 2026（Thursday to Friday） 9:30am to 5:00pm
10 January, 2026（Saturday） 9:30am to 12:00noon

 

9. Registration procedures:

• Pay the refundable registration fee $970 and submit the 2026/2027 “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (referred to as “RC”) or “Kindergarten Admission Pass” (referred to as “AP”). Registration fee will be refunded to parents in September, 2025. Late registration will NOT be accepted.
• Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify our school in writing immediately. The registration fee will not be refunded. Our school will cancel the “RC”/“AP” as soon as possible. Upon canceling the “RC”/“AP” to the parents, our school will no longer reserve a place for the child.

10. Admission Criteria:
(a) First priority for the siblings of our current students and alumni
(b) First priority for the families with working parents
(c) Living in the same district of our school premises

 

11. Applicants on the Waiting List:
Applicants not admitted may apply for the waiting list. They will be admitted according to their order on the list in case there are still vacancies after the registration dates. Parents will be notified the result by phone if the application is successful.
